This website is a "child" of its parent (and now passed on) website HOMELESS! in baltimore, md at MSN Groups. It has been created to assist the parent site in making information available that may be helpful to the homeless and indigent population of Baltimore, MD and surrounding areas.
Please note, although this site was begun on August 7, 2006, it uses info obtained from various sources, some more current than others. As time passes, some of the info found here will no doubt become out-of-date. Please pay close attention to the posting date, if available, and try to verify the info's accuracy if possible thru the use of other sources.
Important Notice
On 8/4/2009 Microsoft sent an email regarding this website that included the following:
"We wanted to inform you of a policy change to your domain service. As of October 1, 2009, we will no longer offer free domain name renewals. When your custom domain, homelessinbaltimoremd.net, comes up for renewal, you will need to pay the annual renewal fee of $14.95 by your expiration date of 8/7/2009."The email goes on to say:
"There is nothing for you to do at this time, but note that you will need to pay the annual renewal fee when you receive your domain renewal notice approximately 45 days before your domain expiration date. If you choose not to pay the renewal fee, your domain name will automatically expire and all associated e-mail addresses will be discontinued. Your Web site will remain active, but will be available at a Web address such as http://yourname.web.officelive.com."
There's been no decision made about whether to pay this fee (if it's still possible), and considering the short notice there may not be before Microsoft changes this site's Web address to "homelessinbaltimoremd.web.officelive.com" (which could happen anytime? -- the email's a bit confusing). If you find the information available here useful you may want to save it to your system if you've not already done so.
If you have any questions or comments it is now recommended you email this site's manager directly at danieljosephmcafee@gmail.com
rather than take the risk now assosiated with using the "Contact Us" or "Guestbook" features here (they may not work).
